Following the release of his highly anticipated debut artist album “Human”, the genre defining electronic music artist Max Cooper heads to the US and Canada for a batch of shows! Hitting Coda in Toronto on May 31st.

If that wasn’t enough, FIELDS have released the “Inhuman” EP, a collection of remixes from the likes of Rodriguez Jr, Lusine, Harvey McKay, Jack Dixon and Olaf Stuut.

INHUMAN is the remix EP of Max Cooper’s debut HUMAN, spanning warm house and keys from Rodriguez Jr, some terrific shimmering, pounding bass from Jack Dixon, two dancefloor mixes of the most abstract number on the album (Woven Ancestry), with Ghostly mainstay Lusine offering a rough-hewn, natural rework that counterpoints the more driving, suspenseful rework by upcoming Dutch producer Olaf Stuut.

And as an extra, Harvey McKay’s secret dancefloor weapon: a dramatic techno remix of an earlier FIELDS track with Max and pianist Tom Hodge, Von der Klippe Fallen. That original’s not actually on HUMAN, but it was too good to turn leave out.

We’ve also included Max’s extended dancefloor mix of Supine – effectively, a third single from the album. We wanted, with the singles, to give an idea of the breadth of HUMAN – from the “impossibly gorgeous” Adrift (FACT), then a hard left turn to the “incredibly intense” Impacts (Pitchfork) – the most brutal track Max has ever released, and somewhat of a shock to the Traum audience, though it went down well in Max’s recent FACT mix.

Then another left turn to Supine – blissful, melodic, and the kind of gradually unfolding euphoria that makes sunset at festivals so worthwhile. Few albums seem to be listened to in full these days, but HUMAN is one that we ask you to experience at least once as an intensely sequenced emotional journey…

You can buy tickets to his Toronto show HERE. Inhuman One and Inhuman Two are now available on Beatport.
