Launching today with the premiere of Way Too Young — the first original release has a truly heartwarming story behind it. Around a year ago, when K Theory was on tour in Hawaii, one of the members contracted a rare and deadly bacterial infection called leptospirosis. Coping with it and a vigorous touring schedule, the bacterial infection took quite a toll — days later, Dylan discovered he could not stand up during a show in New York City. He was immediately rushed to the emergency room, where he’d soon fall into a 3-week, medically-induced coma. The last thing Dylan said before he went under was “I’m way too young to die like this. I’ve got too much to say.”

“Little did I know that I would almost die four times in that coma and come out having one of the best song-writing years of my life,” Dylan said of his harrowing experience. “My biggest regret of nearly dying was all of my unfinished demos and mass unreleased catalog that we have as K Theory, so I thought what better a way than to give out 25 tracks during [December] this year to commemorate our work, share the love of free music, and unload some of these gems collecting dust on our hard drives.”
Ethereal and building in intensity, Way Too Young is a track that expertly launches this ambitious project, while setting the tone and pace for K Theory’s massive year ahead. “2015 is going to be crazy,” assures Dylan, “we’ve got an album coming out, and enough music to fill your iPod… twice!”
