Acid-techno goddess and heiress to the dirtybird throne J.Phlip turns towards the national spotlight taking her underground sound on a well deserved sonic journey of massive proportion. Her first headlining tour, “Everybody On The Floor” will tantalize her devoted fans this fall coast-to-coast – taking over 28 dates, kicking off October 23.

2014 has been a seminal year for Jess. An impromptu cancellation led to her delivering one of the most acclaimed sets of the summer – closing the Beatport stage at Detroit’s iconic Movement Festival. In addition, she had jaw-dropping appearances at Coachella, HARD Summer, Ultra, and Electric Forest. With these massive shows behind her she emerged as one of this year’s breakout stars.

J.Phlip, or Jessica Phillippe, got her start from the dark Midwestern basements of Champaign, Illinois where she studied engineering and bought her first set of belt-drive turntables at the age of 19. Little wonder she soon gravitated towards the birth-place of house music, Chicago. It was there that her acid-infused booty-minded style began to gestate, eventually sending her West to land under the wings of the San Francisco based dirtybird collective. Under the care of new-age house godfather Claude VonStroke, this fledgling emerged from the nest, with a series of releases on the label. But it was in the booth that she truly made her mark, wowing heads, critics, and fans alike with a fearless record selection, impeccable timing, and unmistakable sense of fun.

The “Everybody on the Floor” Tour will showcase J.Phlip’s forthcoming “Walls & Lights” EP which is a collaboration with bassline badman Chris Lorenzo, due out September 23rd on Safer at Night.

A full line of merch will be hosted on the dirtybird website from Thanksgiving through the rest tour to give fans a chance to rep this lovely bird throughout this journey and beyond.

J.Phlip will be joining forces on the tour with legend of the underground Monty Luke. Monty has been churning his gritty sound for years, with releases and remixes on Classic, Cadenza, Planet-E, and his own Black Catalogue as well as the dirtybird sub-label Mothership. In Jess’s own words, “Monty came to mind as an artist I really love that is outside of the dirtybird box. I’m really looking forward to touring with my old pal…we just have to be careful not to kill ourselves from having too much fun”. Through a fusion of his atmospheric arrangement and hard-hitting house sounds, Monty stands ready and able to infiltrate the nation’s favorite dancefloors.

The “Everybody on the Floor” tour kicks off at J.Phlip’s SF stomping grounds of Monarch, before visiting the likes of NYC’s Verboten, HARD Day of the Dead, TV Lounge, and U Street Music Hall. It is with pure excitement that Jess returns to the light-hearted, tune-centric nature of the club scene past. This one is for the party people.
