TRACK REVIEW: deadmau5 – Some Chords (Dillon Francis Remix) by Serafina Thoma

0

Released on Mau5trap Records on Friday October 18 via SoundCloud, Dillon Francis gives us his spin on the iconic House track by the great deadmau5 himself. As a huge fan of both artists, seeing the title alone pop up in my feed gave me a huge dose of excitement that’s long overdue.

Some Chords keeps the melody, but has drops that are begging to be played live on huge system. I literally laughed out loud when I realized that’s Dillon himself screaming at the drop, just as the song reveals elements that reminds me of Bootleg Fireworks (The Rebirth) but pays tribute to that classic mau5 sound we all love.

It’s very possible Dillon Francis could drop this new track on his current Friends Rule Tour, which hits Toronto December 1 at Danforth Music Hall. Grab your tickets HERE! His new album also drops October 27 and you can get the album HERE too.

Don’t miss out. Enjoy the tunes!
