With much anticipation, London’s Dusky have released their Ordinary World EP ahead of a 5 stop North American tour this September. The release and tour alike celebrate Dusky’s diverse legacy as leaders of the UK House and Techno renaissance.

Following the “Love Taking Over EP”, Yoohoo and singles from Christian Piers and Velvit (aka dBridge), the “Ordinary World EP” is the latest to come on the duo’s 17 Steps label, including the classy, catchy and ambient-influenced Skin Deep, the mutant 4/4 rave alarm of Jilted, festival techno of Parakeet Feet and the melodic roller Squeezer.

“This EP was all about presenting four different strains of our DJ sets and productions into what we hope is one cohesive whole. Anyone who has seen us DJ will know we like to work across deeper, rolling moments, harder techno sounds and more anthemic tracks, but there’s generally a certain vibe we try to reach for that ties them together; a sense of musicality, a contrast between light and dark.” – Nick and Alfie, Dusky

This September, the duo will return to North America to showcase their flawless brand of House and Techno. Starting at Nocturnal Wonderland in San Bernardino, the tour will touch down for a string of headlining shows in Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, and Vancouver.

The announcement follows the live broadcast of their set for BBC Radio 1’s Ibiza Weekend last Friday, which saw the duo drop tracks from the EP at Ushuaia, with Disclosure, Jamie Jones & Patrick Topping and Eats Everything & Green Velvet also appearing.

So far, no dates for Toronto on this tour, but let’s keep our fingers crossed.
