Genre-benders YOOKiE (pronounced like “cookie” with a “Y”) make their New Noise debut with the hybrid trap monster cHeMiCaL X. The experimental duo takes us on a tumultuous ride of airtight snares and medieval-style vocal calls before unleashing a frenetic bass-fueled drop.
With a cutting-edge sound and a no f***s given attitude, YOOKiE is poised to take the bass game to the next level. Having amassed over 19K followers on SoundCloud, the New York natives are turning heads with their unconventionally dope original tracks, which draw upon an extensive range of genres including bass house, trap and dubstep.
Their edit of Skrillex’s classic Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites has made massive waves across the festival circuit, as evidenced by live support from The Chainsmokers, Borgore, Major Lazer, GTA, Jauz, Herobust, NGHTMRE, Cash Cash and Sonny himself. Their Buygore released collaboration with Jameston Thieves and Swagglerock, Get Down, has been similarly well-received, gatherering 260K streams on SoundCloud in a few months.
