Tyler Sherritt already has been involved in major collaborations with artists such as First State which their track “Maze” was signed and released under Blackhole Recordings on Tiesto’s label Magik Muzik. It still remains on Magik Muzik’s top 10 tracks on Beatport and reached #49 on Beatport’s Top Progressive House chart; Tyler is in the process of finishing a ‘follow-up’ of “Maze” with First State. “Maze” has also been supported by artists such as Garth Emery, Armin van Buuren, and Axwell. On July 30th his long awaited track “Lux In Tenebris” with Swab & Joey Mova will be released on Paul Oakenfold’s label Perfecto and another track with TV Rock’s Ivan Gough is in the works and already gaining attention from several well respected artists in the EDM industry. With Jake Shanahan, their track “On The Otherside”, has been signed and released under Pinkstar. Tyler has played some of New York City’s major house music venues including Pacha NYC, Cielo, and Santos Party House. He has been making a name for himself up and down the Eastern Coast and will be hitting cities coast to coast by the end of 2012. (See attachment for Tyler’s upcoming 2012 performances.)

Sherritt has played at New York City’s most notorious venues such as Pacha NYC and Santos Party House; but, his sets alongside Deniz Koyu at Cielo NYC and Gregori Klosman and his second performance at PachaNYC caught the attention of partygoers and media outlets in New York City and throughout the world. With frequent visits to D.C., and performances from Philadelphia down to Miami, Tyler’s fan base has expanded up and down the East Coast. With an upcoming US summer tour that is only going to expand and the name TYLER SHERRITT is going to draw a crowd on its own. But, his productions and collaborations are what is being recognized worldwide.
Tyler’s first success as a breakthrough EDm artist was with the Holland/South Africa duo First State. First State got a hold of Sherritt’s original track of Maze which had been submitted by Tyler to Blackhole Recordings after he had decided to steer away from the rock influenced music he had been previously focusing on. This is how the collaboration of “Maze”, came to fruition and the track that was immediately signed to Tiesto’s recording label Magik Muzik under Blackhole Recordings. The original track continues to be a massive hit on Beatport, still currently #8 on Magik Muzik. Major artists have incorporated Sherritt’s insatiable vocals into their already crowd-pleasing performances. He has recently been getting a lot of attention by world renowned artist Axwell, Armin Van Buuren included the original version of “Maze” on his compilation [ASOT ep. 525], and a remix by Triarchy was featured on Gareth Emery’s Podcast #174.
Recenently. Pink Star Recordings picked up Sherritt’s original track “On the Otherside” which has also received support from EDX on No Xcuses ep. 52; a collaboration with fellow deejay, producer, and friend Jake Shanahan along with “Wonders,” which is attracting attention from several recording labels (soon to be released).
Sherritt is currently working on several collaborations with established artists, one being Ivan Gough and a new track called Lux in Tenebris with Swab & Joey Mova is about to be released (on label) at the end of June. In addition, Sherritt has been working on the vocals for the follow up to Maze with First State.
In combining original vocals and musical tracks that are most commonly overlooked by other deejays, Sherritt creates an original sound. What sets Tyler apart from other artists are his live performances. When he sings his original tracks for his audience, it takes his live sets to a whole new level of excellence and his ability to create original mash-ups while performing is something truly amazing.
“I don’t want to be a cookie cutter DJ that plays all the hits. I want to help and affect people the way that other musicians and their music have affected me.” -Tyler Sherritt.
