With a debut album planned for early 2013, San Franciso based producer Derrick Boyd and vocalist Zoe Presnick – a.k.a. Tone of Arc – have just released their latest single Goodbye Horses on No.19 Music. The track, which is actually a cover of the Q Lazzarus hit featured in ‘Silence of the Lambs’, differs from Tone of Arc’s usual deep house and takes on an 80s retro electro type feel accented by Boyd’s own voice. Also included on the record is a T.O.A. original, Soundsail, along with a remix by Deniz Kurtel from the Wolf + Lamb family.
Tone of Arc has been making waves in the electronic music scene for quite some time now, but it was only when No.19 and Jonny White (one half of Art Department) started working with T.O.A. that their work became critically acclaimed and praised in international media. No.19 Music is a Canadian record label founded by Jonny White and Nitin Kalyan which has backed several releases from major artists like Art Department, Konrad Black, and Cameo Culture. Shortly after New Year’s, No. 19 Music will be doing a label showcase at The BPM Festival in Mexico with Art Department, Nitin, Clayton Steele, Deniz Kurtel, Louie Fresco, and Tone of Arc all slated to play.
