When we heard about Tone of Arc’s latest release Goodbye Horses back in October we didn’t know they’d be in town so soon! This Friday, November 23rd, Tone of Arc will be hitting up Moskito for Social Experiment Toronto playing alongside a stacked line up featuring Art Department, Lee Foss, My Favourite Robot, Nitin, Teeloo and Jeff Button.

Tone of Arc has been making waves in the electronic music scene since hooking up with No. 19 Music. Their debut single Shaking the Sky/No Pushers received broad critical acclaim on its release earlier this year and saw them featured widely in the international press and their sound being imprinted on dance floors around the globe. Now with Goodbye Horses, Tone of Arc is showcasing their broad musical talent with the dark edged eights electro sounds fused with piano chords and uplifting vocal elements.

If you are looking to familiarize yourself further, check out this free download of Tone of Arc’s Fallow Your Heart, one of four tracks that will be released this December from a collection of their dance music.

Also noteworthy: No.19 Music will be hosting a label showcase at the beginning of the New Year at The BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, with performances by Art Department, Clayton Steele, Deniz Kurtel, Louie Fresco, Nitin, and Tone of Arc.

About Tone of Arc
San Francisco producer Derrick Boyd (aka Dead Seal) and partner/vocalist Zoe Presnick form this unique duo/band production outfit. These two special individuals possess a wide range of musical expression. Together they sing, play guitar, bass, and keys, and all this live too, bringing a glimpse of real musicality to the underground tech house and indie house scene. Tone Of Arc’s powerful stage presence drawn from old school cats like Iggy Pop, The Clash, and Bowie helps to partially define the originality of his music. Boyd has been a recording junkie since his teens and has created a volume of more than two hundred songs and tracks which he jokingly refers to as his “Dead Seal Scrolls”. In the midst of all their creative activity, a debut full length album is due out Spring 2013 on the ever expanding, inspirational house music record label No.19 owned by Nitin and Jonny White of Art Department. Come short they have not and their live performances complete the experience 110%.

About No.19 Music
Toronto’s No.19 Music was founded in 2008 by DJ/producer Jonny White as an outlet for his own recordings and those of a close-knit group of like-minded native artists. Since then, working with partners Nitin and Teeloo, No.19 Music has become an internationally recognized beacon for quality underground electronic music, while Jonny White has also established himself on the world stage as Art Department, along with Kenny Glasgow. Their roster of artists have all been widely touted on the global dance music scene and includes: Clock Work, DJ Sneak, Gadi Mizrahi, Jimmy Edgar, Lee Foss, Miguel Puente, No Regular Play, Soul Clap, Tanner Ross, and James Teej, all in addition to Art Department, Nitin, and Teeloo’s own work.
