Nero, the electronic group comprised of British-born producers, remixers, DJs, and artists Dan Stephens, Joe Ray and vocalist Alana Watson, won their first Grammy Award, Sunday, at the 55th Grammys. Nero’s collaborative remix with Skrillex of Promises, the gold-selling Nero single, won for Best Remixed Recording.

“It feels amazing to have won our first Grammy,” said Nero. “’Promises’ has been a huge record for us, and it’s incredible to have it recognized with a Grammy. We’ve been close friends with Skrillex for a long-time, he’s a singular talent. It was great to work together, to combine the Nero and Skrillex sounds, and make a unique remix that really connected with fans.”

The Skrillex/Nero remix of ‘Promises’ was released on the deluxe re-package of Nero’s debut album Welcome Reality+ (CherryTree/Interscope). Nero is currently working on their follow-up album, and will be releasing the first single from it in the next two months.

Welcome Reality, was one of the best reviewed dance records of last year, receiving raves from Spin, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, and Billboard.  Promises was also featured in a commercial for the HP dm4 Beats Edition, and the track’s official video has racked up over 16 million plays on YouTube:
