NEWS: Kastle debuts live show at SXSW 2013

San Francisco’s Kastle brings his soulful, bass-infused sounds to SXSW 2013, debuting his brand new live show at the Check Yo Ponytail Super Party at Annex on Thursday, March 14. The performance will give a sneak peek at some of the original tracks from his highly anticipated self-titled debut album KASTLE, which drops on April 23rd. Listen to its first single Red Light” ft. Ayah Marar (out on March 19) — a catchy and upbeat house-vibe track which has already seen radio play on Jason Bentley’s KCRW Metropolis show and Plastician’s show.

Kastle’s forward-thinking music results from his long-time love of hip-hop and R&B, fused with the magnetizing effect that dubstep, garage and bass-heavy music has had on him. Last year, his track “Stay Forever” from the eponymous EP reached the iTunes Top 10 Best Electronic Songs of 2012, and he embarked on his highly successful ‘Stay Forever’ tour across North America, and into Australia and New Zealand. Kastle has garnished strong media attention from the likes of XLR8R, URB, MTV Hive and Fact Magazine along with plays on BBC Radio 1.

Symbols label boss and consummate tastemaker, Kastle will also be performing DJ sets at the Symbols Showcase and the Hype Machine Party between performances by Solange, Rudimental, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and more (see dates below)!
