In less than six weeks, Bud Light will bring Sensation, the world’s leading dance event, to Canada for the first time and tickets are selling fast. Today, Bud Light presents Sensation announced the line up of artists to play during an eight-hour spectacle that will take fans to new heights and revolutionize what it means to party in Canada.

The DJs that will play Canada’s first Bud Light presents Sensation event and provide the mind-blowing beats include Mr. White, 2000 and One, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Fedde le Grand, Eric Prydz and Otto Knows.

Music plays an integral role in the Bud Light presents Sensation experience – it’s not about single big name acts, but artists that can tell the overarching story of the Oceans of White theme to keep fans engaged and energized from beginning to end. The music will progress throughout the night with the first DJ setting the tone, the second DJ progressing from the first set and other artists building from there. This continues throughout the night and leads to an amazing climax towards the end of the show. World-renown artists were selected for their ability to build on and intensify their specific set – there is a rhyme and reason to each artist chosen and the time at which they’ll play during the event.

“The majority of electronic dance music shows have heavy or harsh beats throughout the entire event that limits storytelling through music. The strategy behind the Bud Light presents Sensation music is the opposite. We want fans to truly be a part of the story and we select the best artists that contribute to the night’s narrative,” Erick Eerdhuizen, Music Strategist for ID&T.

The Bud Light presents Sensation experience will be like nothing ever seen in Canada before. Once immersed in the Ocean of White, event-goers will experience a night of spectacular nocturnal sea creatures brought to life by giant jellyfish hovering over the dance floor, acrobats rappelling from the Rogers Centre roof, pyrotechnics and a host of other surprises throughout the night. At the height of the show, Bud Light will host a show moment that will feed off the crowd’s momentum and truly light it up.

“The club house scene in Canada is exploding right now, and Bud Light saw an opportunity to help bring it to a world scale with Bud Light presents Sensation,” said Todd Allen, Marketing Director for Bud Light. “With cutting edge music, incredible theatrics and thousands of fans moving to the beat, it is going to be an unforgettable experience like no other. We are thrilled to bring Bud Light presents Sensation to Canada for the very first time – with this event, we’re revolutionizing the way Canadians party.”

Since its inception in the Netherlands in 2000, Sensation has taken the global club house music scene by storm with more than 70 shows in over 20 countries and over one million attendees worldwide. At Bud Light presents Sensation, fans are held to a mandatory white dress code, creating a sea of white surrounding the stage.

Bud Light revealed the artist line up through a unique Twitter challenge that replicated the quintessential house music creation of tension and release. Fans tweeted #budlightsensation to generate excitement and achieve a critical mass of tweets that unlocked the names of the talent line up.
