This past Wednesday morning, Deadmau5 fans were given a chance to win tickets through Twitter or by finding a Microsoft street team across downtown Toronto. Lucky individuals across the GTA each won a pair of tickets for the private launch party that evening.
The anticipation to see the Mau5 grew as the crowd lined up with all of the eager fans. The last time he performed at Kool Haus was this past summer for Veld’s day two after-party with an unforgettable performance. As soon as he stepped foot in his cube while wearing the mau5head, fans chanted and roared with excitement. He started by experimenting with various catchy beats and rhythms that made you want to groove. As he played the summer hit You There?, first time listeners seemed a bit confused by the various breaks throughout the track. Regardless, everyone kept dancing and enjoying the song.
The overall production with the graphics and the lights was what was most memorable for me from that night. Whenever Deadmau5 plays, you’re always guaranteed to have a great time – having fun and dancing the night away with friends.
