TRACK REVIEW: Simon Patterson’s “Brush Strokes” by Derek Yeung

0

Famed for thirteen number ones on the Beatport charts, Simon Patterson brings us, yet again, another out-of-this-world track.  Making his debut on Armin van Buuren’s Who’s Afraid of 138?! label, Patterson has just released his latest track Brush Strokes.  This track is infused with Psy and Tech elements that are now a big element of “Psymon”‘s trance style.  This masterpiece of a tune takes us on a perfect journey from the dark and aggressive to the melodic and uplifting.  Simon Patterson also incorporates an interesting vocal monologue to the melody to add to that dark and eerie effect.

Defined by an even more distinguished bass line, be sure to also check out John Askew‘s  remix of Brush Strokes which uncovers an even darker side of the track.  With its relentless speed and euphoric build ups, Brush Strokes will indeed have fans captivated.
