EVENT PREVIEW: Disclosure DJ Set at The Hoxton by Nusrat Kamal

On Tuesday, January 14th, 2014, the English electronic music duo, consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence (better known as DISCLOSURE) will grace Toronto with their presence at The Hoxton. This event will be a DJ set by the brothers, and is the official after party for live performance at the Danforth Music Hall on the same day.

Disclosure took the electronic music world by storm with their full debut album “Settle”, which came out on June 2013, and have topped music charts in many countries. The album was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Album. Prior to that, Disclosure had an EP out in June 2012 titled ‘The Face’, which included the popular remix of Running by Jessie Ware. Furthermore, the talented brothers hold a tremendous talent for DJ mixes. Similar to their own music, they infuse American hip hop, house music, deep house, techno and garage all together in a perfect blend of melodies in their dj mixes.

With chart topping hits like Latch featuring Sam Smith, White Noise and You & Me, Disclosure is definitely a solid, must-see act to set foot in Toronto in the beginning of the 2014; thus, already shaping up to be an amazing year of events for electronic shows. If you are not able to attend their live show at the Danforth Music Hall earlier in the day of this event, then do make sure to catch this particular event, as it showcases a big portion of the abundance of talent of this amazing, young sibling duo. It will surely be a groovy, and out of the norm Tuesday night!
