Tastemakers and DJs are the gatekeepers to the dancefloor. They are responsible for what makes a song a hit. Superstar DJs such as Tiesto, Steve Lawler and Paul Oakenfold have had their releases become chart topperby these music caretakers; once a hit is made the King of the Jungle must maintain his musical throne.

Jungle Funk Recordings has released their fourth mixed compilation in time for the WMC (Winter Music Conference). Its simply titled Miami 2014. It features seven new global up-and-coming DJs sure to make their musical mark on Canada’s fastest rising label.

Canadian label Jungle Funk Recordings presents the EDMS (electronic dance music scene) with a broad range of genres including house, techhouse and tribal house. Label owners Deko-ze and Jerome Robins’ skills and experienced ears for the next sound are what set them apart from any Canadian label since 2012 when it began. With releases on labels: Hotfingers, Hotboxdigital, Deported and Pacha Recordings, and with residencies at Toronto’s nightclubs the Guvernment, Fly, Footwork and Hush in Victoria, B.C. Deko-Ze is a contributor to and Odyssey Magazine. Jerome is a contributing editor for DJ Magazine. He has original and remixes released on Atlantic, Defected, KMS, CR2, Toolroom, Hotfingers, Instereo, Stereo Productions, Play Records, Star 69, and Bedrock Records. He had over 30 releases entered on the prestigious Beatport charts in 2012 alone.

Deko-ze says “Miami 2014” “is our forthcoming compilation unleashed just in time for the legendary WMC. It is chock full of unreleased infectious house grooves and tech eruptions which we hand selected. It is a signpost of where Jungle Funk is heading and undoubtedly shows why it is one of Canada’s fastest rising labels.”
