The Martinez Brothers, a DJ duo at the burning heart of NYC’s house scene, today announced a 15-date North American tour including stops at Coachella, EDC Mexico, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami and more.

In addition on March 21st, 2014 the brothers, Chris and Steve, will return to New York for the sixth installment of their Mad Beats & Crazy Styles event series. ReSolute, the city’s leaders in curation of non-traditional venues in Brooklyn and beyond, will host at an undisclosed location, with Guti (Live), Velasco b2b/w Chavez from the NIL label, and Filsonik, appearing alongside the Martinez Brothers.

Since making their debut at NYC’s iconic house venue, The Shelter, as teenagers, The Martinez Brothers have emerged to become two of New York’s brightest and most effervescent DJs and ambassadors. Whether playing to tens of thousands on festival stages, throwing down as residents of Ibiza’s most cutting-edge underground party DC10’s Ciro Loco, gracing the cover of Mixmag or curating runway music for Givenchy, Chris and Steve have continually evolved their contemporary take on classic house, while staying true to their familial NYC roots.

The Mad Beats & Crazy Styles parties, created by Chris and Steve, are designed to explore the depth of the house music spectrum, through the prism of New York and the Martinez Brothers ever growing musical family.  Filsonik, a long time friend, who travels and performs regularly with the guys also comes from the lineage of The Shelter where he appeared regularly during the mid noughties. Velasco and Chavez are building traction with their NIL label distributed through the Brooklyn record store mecca, Halcyon.  All artists will be featured on forthcoming releases from The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz label, the sister brand to Mad Beats.

The North American tour date coincides with the much anticipated debut release from the Martinez Brothers on their new label, Cuttin’ Headz, set for release in April. Cuttin’ Headz is not to be confused with Tuskegee, another new imprint that the brothers founded in conjunction with Seth Troxler, named after the famous black university and military regiment, and designed to showcase electronic music of black and Latino origin.
