Grammy-nominated UK producer Duke Dumont has enlisted the expertise of five top-shelf producers from all corners of the contemporary electronic landscape for the “I Got U featuring Jax Jones Remixes EP”, which is out now via Astralwerks. Opening the set, Los Angeles remixer OG MK sends Duke’s newest single to “piano-house heaven” (according to SPIN), while German house wizard and labelmate Tensnake imbues the sundrenched track with thumping UK garage. Subsequently, listeners find themselves fluttering into a lush 80s beach scene by way of Jonas Rathsman‘s gauzy chill out remix and then propelled into the discotheque by Bondax‘s suave funk-laden reworking. The EP is rounded out with a heart palpitating Drum ‘n’ Bass take from High Contrast. Showcasing an expansive range of influences and perspectives with these infections remixes, today’s EP highlights the undeniable versatility and staying power of the original.
