I had arrived at the venue early, before doors even opened, and rushed into the venue as soon as they started letting us in. It was very well organized; I couldn’t believe my eyes when I had went up the escalator, the entire venue was opened and could easily have fit thousands of people. I patiently waited for 9 p.m. to roll around, and it was well worth the wait.
Armin started off the show performing in something similar to a lit-up globe. The globe had his silhouette shown throughout the entire opening, which lasted about an hour. During the opening Armin played one of my favourite of his tracks, Waiting for the Night ft. Fiora, and Fiora appeared performing live vocals! I was on cloud 9 at that point and I still had more than 4 hours to go!
Throughout the night he had acrobats and trampolinists jumping in the air over him and around him, doing tricks I have never seen before! Some of the time I could barely focus on the music, I was so mesmerized! There were several vocalists throughout the night including Fiora, along with Laura Jansen, Lauren Evans and Richard Bedford all performing the most beautiful songs that they’ve collaborated on with Armin. Armin had even had his own brother, Eller van Buuren playing live guitar throughout the night, and had included a band to perform for a couple of songs.
