On the captivating opening track Ready For Love, Felix Cartal delivers an inspirational, uplifting tune featuring vocalist Chloe Angelides, layering euphoric strength and beauty over Felix’s characteristic big-room sound. Sandwiched between the two more radio friendly tunes is Who Even Am I, the only instrumental on the EP and the most straightforward club track. Closing out the EP, Let It Go with vocals from Lily Elise combines indie pop and electronic elements in a way that’s far from coerced or cliche, and stands out in the sea of electronic collaborations.
Credits follows up a myriad of other Felix Cartal releases on Dim Mak Records, including the “Past Present Felix” EP, which debuted at #18 on iTunes Dance Albums, and the “New Scene (feat. Ofelia)” remixes EP. Felix’s music has been evolving since day one, and he now regularly collaborates with a dynamic array of producers and vocalists. The result is a unique sound that can be heard on his 2012 album Different Faces, which was nominated in the Best Dance Recording category at the 2013 JUNO Awards. In the last year alone, Felix has released official remixes for Zedd, The Bloody Beetroots, and Tiësto. In addition, Felix’s Weekend Workout podcast can be heard weekly on Tiësto’s Club Life station on Sirius XM.
