ALBUMS: Italian duo AUCAN release the mysterious “EP 1” on Ultra Music

AUCANISM begins today with the release of AUCAN’s terrifying “EP 1”. The illustrious dark duo from Italy, AUCAN, previously caused a Riot earlier this year, releasing their first single as a free download followed by a very aggressive music video. Now they look to entice the rest of the dance music universe with “EP 1”, on now on Ultra Music.

Showing direct AUCANISM imagery with the Riot music video, the mysterious duo framed it around three dark figures walking down the street, ready to break faces in with their fists, while waiting to join the violent mosh pits that commence. Riot incorporates in-your-face synth patterns and blistering bass that makes you want to break everything in site, and is the epitome of anarchy trap.

In addition to Riot, the EP includes single Rise of the Serpent,  which is a slow, grind-groove, dark electro track with classical piano, and includes a ‘90s hip-house feel dosed with psychedelic shamanism, exuding elegance and decadence; a 5AM party in an abandoned estate.

The EP is rounded out by the greatly admired Easter Egg, Loud Cloud, which Thump rightfully called a “demonic trap rhythm.”
