TRACK REVIEW: Borgeous – Celebration and Ten Feet Tall (Remix) by Sarah C. Edgar

Borgeous - Celebration
Two new releases that you’ll be sure to hear on festival grounds this summer are now available from the up-and-coming Borgeous, DJ/producer recently signed with Spinnin Records . Last year, the Miami native hit #1 on the Beatport Top 100 charts with Tsunami, a collaboration with Canadian duo DVBBS that Billboard magazine called “the most played tune at Tomorrowland”. He worked with DVBBS again on Stampede, another chart-topper that also featured Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike. Now John Borger is back with a new single and an Afrojack remix that he hopes will get you hyped for the weekends ahead.

Celebration is a fun party track, exactly what you’d expect from the name – it’s high energy, aggressive, and it delivers the kind of filthy drop that everyone is looking for right now. This is straightforward festival music, complete with a shout-able chorus that everyone will remember.

He gives us more big-room style with this remix of Afrojack ’s Ten Feet Tall, a new uplifting house song. Going from the pretty pop sounds of the vocals by Wrabel to heavy synths at the drop, this track is infused with some serious energy – the contrast between the sweet-sounding source material and the intense beats Borgeous added makes it a lot of fun to listen to.

Borgeous is currently on his “Invincible” world tour with upcoming dates scheduled for Toronto, May 9 at Maison Mercer, New York, Germany, Italy, Vancouver and much more. Check out the full tour schedule on his website.
