In preparation for their new album, Nero has released The Satisfy Mix, which is an hour long mix thoroughly showcasing all their influences and inspiration for their latest project. These Grammy Award winners for Best Album (2011), Best International Dubstep Act (2012), and Best Remix Recording (2013) for their collaboration remix of Promises with Skrillex, have got us anticipating what’s to come from the group during 2014. With a solid debut album under their belt, and tracks like Into The Past (which was featured in the film The Great Gatsby), we’ve all been wondering what Nero has been working on.
Now get a taste of the new album, which is expected to release sometime this year, as the mix gives you a preview with their single Satisfy from the new album, and their unreleased track Touch You. The entire mix is loaded with amazing artists such as Gesaffelstein, Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, M Machine, and more. The genres in the mix range from dark house to some retro tunes, with a consistent beat and smooth transitions. As soon as I heard Daft Punk‘s track Alive, the tone for the entire mix was pretty much set. Much respect to Nero for paying their respects to some of the most classic tracks in electronic music and turning them into something new for their second album.
Have a listen and get excited, because we can expect another tour soon with a new album and perhaps a new sound altogether. I can’t wait to see what Nero will do for the electronic music scene!
