There is a place in the distance. A place that we’ve been dreaming of. A place that so many of us have wanted to remain immediately after Madeon played his final song at Echo Beach last year for the Frosh Fest. Coming back to us all the way from France, Madeon makes his return to Toronto, and his inaugural debut at the famous Guvernment nightclub. Infusing house, electro house, nu-disco and pop amongst other things, he began his career at age eleven and is a prodigy for the electronic music world.

Producing under a few different monikers before settling in very comfortably as Madeon, he won Pendulum‘s remix contest for The Island. Although that gained him a lot of positive recognition, what really garnered all the much deserved appreciation for his talent, was a viral video on YouTube titled Pop Culture. Using not much more than a Novation Launchpad and his imagination, he harmoniously mashed up 39 different songs in under three and a half minutes and it is the epitome of epic.

Staying away from the conventional CDJ set up, Madeon wows the crowd time and time again with his dynamic sets and ever evolving style. He performed a 101 song mini mix in under 5 minutes, mixing everything from Skrillex and Feed Me, to Rihanna and Kylie Minogue.

If there is ever a place you will regret not being, it’s The Guvernment on Saturday, June 21st. The crowd vibe is always unreal and the music is consistently on point. Madeon does not disappoint, so grab your tickets now, there are only a handful left! See you there!
