New York-based artist Branchez brings us a FREE DOWNLOAD for his new original track Truth released only three days ago. It has some faint traits of Trap and Hip-hop, but the track as a whole is more alternative and electronic than anything else. There’s some change ups in the tempo but Truth keeps it light-sounding with well done vocals and echoes in the background of “Hey!” which reminds me of Timbaland in his famous track Apologize featuring One Republic.
After his super successful remix of What So Not’s track High You Are, Branchez has also recently been featured in Diplo’s BBC Radio 1 podcast Diplo & Friends, a highly credible show which allows artists to highlight what genres and styles the can bring to the table. The mix has a lot of Deep House, Trap, and weird dissonant-sounding tracks. If you’re unfamiliar with Branchez, I highly recommend listening to the podcast for something very different. At 18 minutes into the mix, you may recognize another original track Shake, with classy piano and a sexy saxophone that will make you groove to the beat. It sounds like a bootleg from the 80’s, but that’s just how good it is.
After becoming familiar with Branchez, and then listening to his new track, I can already hear the progression in production and higher quality in content. Make sure you get your free download of Truth off his Facebook page!
