Aitor Etxebarria or better known as El_Txef_A is back with The Love We Lost. This Spanish DJ, hailing from Gernika, Bilbao, Spain (the Basque country of Spain) has brought something spectacular to the table. Since releasing tracks on such labels as Permananet Vacation, Suol, and Hypercolour, he has been on fire. His first album “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” was acclaimed for its fresh and innovative take on electronic music. El_Txef_A stands for a specific and complex sound signature and it is this that makes him amazing. His primary concern is to develop a sound that people can identify with and enjoy freely. The Love We Lost featuring Woolfy does just that. This track is on his upcoming second album “We Walked Home Together”.

The Love We Lost is a wonderful indie track mixed with elements of EDM and a slowed tempo that you can just groove to. The lyrics are wonderful and the vocalist, Woolfe does an amazing job to compliment the music. The futuristic sound of the melody intrigues me and reminds me of songs by legendary acid house producer Charanjit Singh. This song not only has elements of acid house but also has a wonderful Balearic base that reminds me of Ibiza. This song also has an ulterior motive, to make you think! This is the perfect song to have for those hot, humid days, when you can sit back and relax to it. I can imagine sipping on my favourite beverage and enjoying the cool, refreshing flavour during that moment. This track, much like my beverage, is cool and refreshing. El_Txef_A has done a fantastic job. Watch out for his new album, and for his appearances to pop up more frequently.
