Released today on Fool’s Gold / Ultra Records from the trap duo Flosstradamus, comes their new track TTU (Too Turnt Up). The track itself feels like a sequel for DJ Snake‘s Turn Down for What track featuring Lil’ Jon,  but a lot less overplayed and a lot more pumped up. You can definitely feel a bit of a parallel after listening to both tracks, but I think I prefer the lyrics of Waka Flocka Flame over Lil’ Jon, since they’re a bit more elaborative.

TTU brings a bit of a surprise towards the end, starting the song off with trap and ending with a hardstyle drop. So if you weren’t bobbing your head before, you get an opportunity to start shuffling and fist pumping.  You can hear the progression in Flosstradamus’s tracks as they continue to release more music, and that gets me excited for the future in trap, despite the common misconception that it’s all the same.

The Chicago-based artist has played alongside Diplo, A-Trak, and Juicy J and performed at prestigious festivals such as Ultra, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival and many more. Lucky for us, Floss is coming to Toronto for their label’s Mad Decent Block Party on August 15thFort York alongside Zeds Dead, Diplo, Grandtheft, Chance the Rapper, and more! Flosstradamus will definitely make sure you hear their new material live!
