Equally adept at grinding out hard-hitting techno as he is reworking bona-fide popstars, Alex Metric has consistently showcased a versatility and depth throughout his career which shows no sign of slowing down with the release of Heart Weighs A Ton via OWSLA/Big Beat. The track combines the best of both worlds: retaining enough bite for the club while offering up a huge chorus aimed squarely at the charts. It’s an unashamedly epic track, with a big house piano riff holding the rhythm down, before a mammoth line cascades over the vocal hook from UK-via-Sweden singer Stefan Storm. Alex is settling in nicely with the OWSLA family following the recent “Hope” EP release along with his “Ammunition” EPs and his international stock as a hotly demanded DJ and producer continues to rise.
