This Saturday September 13, Toronto’s Fort York historical site will host a new one-day festival in town: Play Music Festival. Hosted by Elevate, Living Entertainment, and TeamLTD, the festival is bringing something new to the table for Toronto.
The event is special for one big reason: it boasts some amazing acts in the trance scene, giving Toronto trance lovers an opportunity to see the likes of Richard Durand, Leon Bolier, and Bryan Kearney in a beautiful outdoor setting. Finally, our city is taking a step towards festival lineups akin to our European brethren. Backing the festival’s solid trance lineup are the genres of tech-house, electro-house, and more. And in true Embrace fashion, the festival features lots of local talent, including (but not limited to) Manzone & Strong, Amber Traill, Baranov, D3ff & Aktec, and Adam K.
It’s looking like there will be two stages: the Groove Stage (mainly for the trance lovers) and Playground Stage. The festival is 16+, and will run from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., so be there early! Be sure to check out the festival’s official website for all the information you need. Fort York is located in the heart of downtown at 100 Garrison Road. Grab your tickets for Play here, which are only $45 (VIP are $65).
Personally, I’m most excited for Richard Durand, the man responsible for In Search of Sunrise series. Check out one of his latest tracks Morning Light, below.
