Fans no longer have to wait in the dark about the next deadmau5 EP. No details of a release date, but Joel Zimmerman has confirmed “5 years of 5 mau5“. Streaming via his website’s live broadcast, Joel named some of the artists remixing his released albums: Chuckie, Dillon Francis, Nero, Eric Prydz, Madeon, Pig&Dan, Botnik and more. Dillion Francis’ remix of Some Chords, I expect, will be included in the album.

The track list will be drawn from “4×4 = 12”, “> album title goes here <“, and “For Lack of A Better Name”, as all the albums have been released before 2009. No idea if any tracks will come from his compilation album “It Sound Like” nor “Random Album Title” (2006) as the red ears from the album cover suggest.
With tons of material to draw from including “The Veldt” and “At Play Vol.3” and “At Play Vol.4”, we should be exciting to listen to new remixes of Joel’s productions. Some of the named artists have already remixed a single, but it will be great to hear their fresh take on his sound. I, for one, cannot wait to hear it.
