TRACK EXCLUSIVE: Ventura – Party Punch by Natalia Toussaint

Ventura, Zak and Jesse Shessel, are a brother DJ/producer duo from Toronto. Playing in various venues throughout the city, Ventura are becoming a fixture in the Toronto bass scene. You can find out more about them in their interview here. Ventura has given EDM TOR the exclusive to their brand new track Party Punch.

Any fans of Adventure Time may take an immediate liking to this track. A sample from the “Little Brother” episode starts us off. Backed by a sinister tempo which reminds me of an episode of the Addams Family, you hear Leaf Beard’s rant to Kent about being more careful in the root tunnels. The tempo increases at the 30 and 50 second mark as Leaf Beard’s and the blacksmith’s advice is heard through the speakers. From then on everything builds and builds until at 1:20 the drop is unleashed and we are left heavy bass and sub-bass lines favourable to Dubstep productions. After the send drop, a drum breakbeat, similar to a Drum and Bass track, is present in the track as well. I was on my feet before the song ended. It is safe to say I really enjoyed this track.

I don’t want to say anything more, I’ll let you enjoy the track for yourself. I will, however, say, if you have a decent pair of speakers and a sub, I highly recommend you set those babies up to experience the full magnitude of the track.
