Hailing from La Cite d’Amour, Parisian producer Stwo dropped this lovely little gem off on his SoundCloud page about a month ago. It is available for a FREE download. Its been gaining traction with well over 225,000 plays and for good reason. Staying consistent with the raw and grimey feel of Danny Brown‘s Blunt After Blunt, Stwo’s edit creeps along like your local weed man out for a chain smoke filled Sunday drive.

Danny’s wild bars are teamed up with a gnarly bass line and addicting synth stabs that take turns trying to knock you out like a gang of angry children armed with “Sock em’ Boppers”. That familiar hi-hat roll that essentially makes Trap music what it is (which can sometimes be overdone), has been artfully slowed to a crawl and sped back up in just the right places like a nosy onlooker checking out one spectacle after another. All combined this ends up making for a chill trap song that succeeds for the fact that it is so simple and clean no matter how “dirty” the included elements are.

Stwo has an upcoming EP and a North American Tour, in which he makes a stop at The Hoxton in Toronto on October 24. For die hard trap fans and those who are still on the fence about the genre this would be a show not to miss. Tickets are available here.
