Vato Gonzalez,  also known as, Björn Franken hails from Spijkenisse, Netherlands. Born in June in 1983, Gonzalez started his quest in the dirty house music scene in 2007. It was his track with Foreign Beggars called Badmin Riddim (Jump), released in 2010, that propelled him into the spotlight. His 2013 hit Sushi Riddim continued his hot streak and his staying power among the world’s top producers,  with its into the Beatport Top 10. Since then, he has received support from Hardwell, W&W, Sander Van Doorn, Diplo and many others. He is also the same person who provided the sample for Martin Garrix’s track Animals. We just scratched the surface of Vato Gonzalez’s many achievements and his track Monkey Riddim is nothing but extraordinary.

Monkey Riddim is a blast to listen to. Not only do you want to move but it gets you up on your feet and you just start dancing, which happened to me. The bass line is hard and in your face, I could not get this out of my head. The build-up is phenomenal and then the drop moves into a guitar riff which reminds me of every rock song I love. All of a sudden you have the word “Dangerous” thrown at you and then the epic line “Where’s my monkey?” that you just want to scream at the top of your lungs, I did that too.  The bass line kicks in again and you just want to continue to dance. I just felt like stomping the floor each time the bass line hit and continue to move. The track continues in a fast paced melody that I continued to love. “Where’s my monkey?” is just the epicness that continues with this track before kicking it up into high gear. The beat just goes into overdrive and your senses have just exploded. The beat just drops and all I want to do is just move, the bass line kicks in and I continue to groove with the beat. The uplift towards the end is just what you don’t expect, and leaves you craving more. I never wanted this song to stop and had to put it on repeat. So get this track now and hit the dance floor because you know you won’t stop dancing once this comes on.

Currently Vato Gonzalez is touring around the world and playing major festivals including Fantasia Festival, Tomorrowland, and Dance-D-Vision Festival. He has released an EP with Lady Be called “We Be Like” out now.
