When: October 24th, 7 p.m.
Where: The Danforth Music Hall, 147 Danforth Avenue, Toronto
Toronto is the place to be this Friday October 24, as Glitch Mob takes the stage with Chrome Sparks and The M Machine for a stacked night at the Danforth Music Hall.
I had the pleasure of seeing The Glitch Mob this past summer at Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury Michigan, and I can tell you right now, that if you like their new album “Love, Death, Immortality” then this is the show you don’t want to miss! The themes from the new album take over the tour with live drumming and crazy visuals. The Glitch Mob trifecta has worked long and hard since the album’s release to bring us an experience rather than a rave. When I saw them live at the Forest on the main stage, they dropped their remix of The Prodigy’s track Breathe and it blew people’s minds. I’m also hoping to hear my old favourite track We Can Make the World Stop, but anything after that is a bonus!
Only a few days ago, the M Machine just released a new track called Just Like and it’s full of deep dark vibes. I’ve got my fingers crossed for hearing this track Friday, along with anything they might sneak into their set that is rumoured to be released on their upcoming EP. I’ve seen the M Machine on the OWSLA tour at The Hoxton, and I remember the M Machine being the best act. I’m hoping to hear the new track, as well as original track Superflat, and their remix of Dog Blood’s track Middle Finger. Regardless of what I want to hear, expect lots of bass and a decent amount of diversity among the bass genres that evening.
Chrome Sparks also played at Electric Forest this past summer, and although I missed his set, the friends I made there told me he was quite the gem of a performance. If I hear his track Goddess live then my night will be made. His music can be funky, chill, refreshing, trippy, and progressive. It will be a great way to start the night.
