On October 4th, 2014, Ink Entertainment proudly presents AC Slaterand his Night Bass Tour featuring Jack Beats & Hannah Wants, all taking place at Tattoo for the evening. This is basically an inflated version of his Night Bass parties thrown in AC’s hometown. Word on the street is these parties are off the chain and thats why they’ve decided to take it on the road and show the rest of North America what they’re missing out on. AC Slater is a producer from the Los Angeles area. He releases Night Bass songs, these in my opinion are house tracks with heavy, killer bass lines, proud peacock-like synths and classic rave percussion done up in the grimiest fashion possible. With some varying additions the resulting products are tunes that has clubbers all around shedding pounds from crushing tiles wherever they are. He’s signed to Party Like Us Records which is also based in the L.A area. Here is a new song by AC up for free download called Fifty K, this track is not for the faint-hearted. This song gets me into my zen “Master Shuffler” mode ready to dance the night away. The bass is definitely the highlight of this song and its also the reason this is now a mainstay on my dancing playlist.
Jack Beats is the smokin’ hot duo of DJs and producers Plus One aka Niall Ferguson from Scratch Perverts and Ben Geffen from The Mixologists. They have been making dope beats and rocking clubs since together 2006 but they have been working on solo projects and with their own respective collectives many years before that. They’re a pair of globe-trotting DJs getting together and making more powerful waves like a stone that’s been skipped using their combined experience & expertise.
They’re signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA label and have been making releases that have been dropping jaws all over the place. They’re mix of masterful breakdowns & well-crafted a cappella samples are the cornerstone of their unique sound. Their live sets are nothing short of masterfully put together and presented on the auditory equivalent of a silver platter. Here is Jack Beats’ remix of Danny Brown’s Smokin’ and Drinkin. Their use of Danny’s vocals and the structure in this track speaks volumes about the skills these guys posses & their work ethic. The track is clean and as smooth as baby’s bottom coming out of good speakers. This is a song to start off any night or to revitalize those in the middle of a wild night out.
Hannah Wants is a self-taught DJ/Producer from Birmingham, UK, who has smashing onto the scene since 2010 with her fresh personality and funky beats. Her style is eclectic, she plays anything you can think of and would want to hear but mostly it’s dirty House music. . Her diverse song collection is apparent from the samples that she uses and her intensity on stage is something to behold. Her instincts are those of a natural-born performer. You can tell shes playing from that special place in her gut that drives her because she’s fully invested, her head is bobbing with the beat, making her hair move like it’s alive when it’s not in a tight bun. Her eyes only move from the decks in semi-privates moments of pride and to guage the crowd every once in a while. She’s been DJing for about a decade and her skills are apparent in her live shows. This show is gonna have the floors at Tattoo flexing and rockin’ all night long. The genre dexterity is strong with this show and it has a good balance to suit all palates of all types. The level of talent featured this night is A-1, and the opportunity to see such a show go down is greatly appreciated by a music lover like me. This is another show you’re gonna want to attend to avoid FOMO when you hear about it later from your friends or in a forum. This show is 19+ and the doors open at 10pm. Tickets are available online.
