Size continues to show their industry-leading prowess and versatility with their forthcoming release from Hunter Siegel. Joining Steve Angello’s mighty label he brings us a two track EP New School Renegade/ Time To Black Out vs. Todd Terry, out now.

New School Renegade is rave-tinged house with a subtle amen break sitting behind a chunky beat. The introduction of the synths deepens the groove with classic chords lightening the tone before it drops into the main body of the track led by a heavy robotic synth.

Time To Blackout a collaboration with house pioneer Todd Terry, is a rolling tech house number that attains depth without being too insular. Tight production on the intricately layered highs, constantly moves things forward with a muffled shuffle towards a similarly heavy drop. Dashes of breakbeat are a welcome change of pace, bringing a funky respite in breakdowns to what is a muscular track ready to flex in the clubs.

It’s this blended style of early 90’s rave with modern electro-house that is garnering support from the likes of Tchami, Torro Torro, Dallas K, Dvbbs as well as the aforementioned artists. The support doesn’t stop at respect and appreciation either, with industry head and EDM tastemaker Major Lazer endorsing Hunter Seigel for an official remix his track Bumaye which he did, to devastating effect.

Hunter is the perfect addition to Size taking on a unique hybrid of new & old school techniques, influenced by house pioneers like Todd Terry, and an arsenal of new school swag with relentless in your face jams. No wonder this wild-child has gained the support from the likes of Skrillex, Zeds Dead, Adventure Club, Tchami, and Oliver Heldens.
