TRACKS: Michael Brun remixes Mako’s Our Story

Michael Brun has taken Mako‘s festival anthem Our Story and somehow made it even bigger. Capitalizing on the uplifting vocal track, the Haitian native injects an absolutely euphoric melody to send the song into the stratosphere. It’s the kind of track that will work anywhere from the main stage of a festival to the peak-time hour of a club night.

Brun is currently riding off the success of his stellar collaboration alongside DubVision, Sun In Your Eyes, which climbed into the Beatport Top 5. He also just inaugurated his label Kid Coconut in May with his original track Zenith, which quickly became an anthem at TomorrowLand with main stage support from the likes of Steve Angello, Dirty South, AN21 and more.

At just 21 years old Brun, has won major praise from media heavyweights like Billboard, Rolling Stone, Fuse, MTV, DJ Mag and Mixmag. He’s been championed by DJs ranging from Dirty South to the iconic Pete Tong, and has produced official remixes for the biggest names in electronic music and beyond including Calvin Harris, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Alicia Keys.

While main stage EDM embraces harder beats and bigger drops, Brun is charting his own path, exploring the more progressive and melodic sides of house music. Fusing the Haitian rhythms of his homeland and a diverse breadth of electronic music influences from deep and soulful to big room, Brun has a singular style and voice to contribute to dance culture.
