The Promise Crew are back again to throw what will be another unforgettable night of music and dancing, and this time it’s with a German twist! Get into the holiday spirit and come celebrate the most well loved event of the yearly calendar. The Promise German Sparkle Party follows the worldwide sensation of the music video of the same name, celebrating all things shiny, blinky, glowy and dazzled. This year’s party will be a diverse evening of House, Techno and Hip Hop music, featuring Miss Melera (Amsterdam), Nature of Music, Tricky Moreira and Sound Bwoy. Known for their unique and exclusive party locations, this year’s Promise German Sparkle Party will take place at the beautiful Atlantis Pavillion at Ontario Place, where attendees will be able to enjoy panoramic views of Toronto’s iconic skyline and waterfront. Probably best defined by Urban Dictionary, you’ll know you’re at the right spot when you find yourself looking at a friend like: “Is dis de party ja? I like German Sparkle Party.”
Introducing the Promise German Sparkle Party Headliners:
Miss Melera – For the past 10 years, the Haarlem-based Miss Melera has been perfecting her art, and developing mixing skills that have already been compared to legends such as Sasha and John Digweed. She’s done her homework, absorbing the essence behind traditional genres such as Progressive, Deep and Tech House and Old-School Techno, and then twisting them into a melodic confection that is both fresh and timeless, and completely her own. Miss Melera has been busy at work inside and outside of the studio. With a monthly radio show on SoundCloud, Colourizon, a new EP “Faith” out on Einmusika and having recently come off from playing Amsterdam Dance Event, Holland’s mixing queen continues to make waves in the dance music world.
Nature of Music – Known for their signature deep-atmospheric sound, combined with drum machines and topped with acapellas, Nature of Music has turned quite a lot of heads in the Canadian electronic music scene. Starting from underground loft parties and slowly making their way to clubs and festivals, their success wasn’t overnight. It was through years of individual hard work that Mazi and Kian finally decided to join forces and create Nature of Music (2009). A project aimed to do more than just making people dance, a partnership aimed to address social and economical problems, to promote spirituality and shed light on propagandas and political misbeliefs.
Tricky Moreira – Tricky Moreira has been a key figure in the Toronto electronic music scene, playing local & international events across Canada, USA, Asia, United Arab Emirates, Europe & the Caribbean. A Canadian JUNO Awards Nominee and artist with over eight prestigious awards in broadcasting, producing & DJing, Moreira’s technical knowledge and ability to manipulate music & sounds through turntable tactics, brilliant programming, music production & vocal arrangements has enabled him to be recognized worldwide for his remarkable talents.
DJ SoundBwoy – Born and raised in Toronto, Canada and unbound by convention, SoundBwoy offers those in attendance the ability to transcend the dance floor and travel on paths only found in dream sequences. He is far from mash up yet incapable of being categorized by any one genre; a musical everyman blessed with the gift of virtuosity behind the turntables. From soulful gems found through countless hours of crate digging to the most ominous of house anthems from the sun swept beaches of Ibiza, a SoundBwoy party is like travelling with a master storyteller crafting his latest fairytale while touching the deepest parts of your imagination.
