TRACK REVIEW: Nero’s “The Thrill” (Porter Robinson Remix)

Porter Robinson just posted his remix of Nero’s noteworthy song, Thrill on Soundcloud. This new spin on an old favourite really brings back a sense of euphoria while introducing a new approach. He brings out a kawaii-inspired, electro style which is embracing yet still holds true to his “Worlds” theme. This is the first track Porter has produced since the career-shifting album, and the feedback seems to be very much, ‘love it or hate it.’

The intro to this remix seems mediocre at first, but the drops prevail as The Thrill demonstrates a sense of artistic development. This isn’t a track that makes you want to party; it’s part of an artistic movement in the EDM scene. With that in mind, it’s a great remix.
