Ever After Music Festival Banner
With festivals popping up left, right, and center, the much anticipated Ever After Music Fest in Kitchener, Ontario promises a unique, fantasy, fairy tale environment that they claim will be an experience for all to share. After some skepticism about the initial set-up of the event, Ever After is shaping up to be a worthwhile festival with such names as Diplo, the legendary Benny Benassi, current fan-favourite Tchami, and the Toronto hometown heroes, Zeds Dead. The current lineup, spanning over two stages promising high class performances, with elaborate and stunning visuals effects & world class sound, is one that will provide all of its attendees with a taste of their favourite artists and genres.

This event is to be held at Bingemans in Kitchener, Ontario, an outdoor venue that is no stranger to hosting large events, such as KW’s biggest annual party, Oktoberfest. Bingemans continues to be one of the entertainment capitals of Kitchener with a variety of attractions on site including a number of vendor choices and a camp ground that festival goers can choose to use with the purchase of a camping package, available directly through Bingemans Camping Resort.

Ever After Music Festival Flyer
EA offers reasonably priced tickets for weekend passes as well as single-day passes. For those of you who wish to and have the funds to spend a little more, EA offers 19+ VIP tickets, giving you access to exclusive VIP areas, including a bar and beach and pool area. They also offer a 19+ SUPER VIP, which includes the aforementioned, plus a meet and greet with selected artists. EA is one of the only festivals in Ontario to offer this unique and exciting feature.

Zeds Dead has quickly grown to be one of Toronto’s most talented and most loved duos. Known for their creativity and their desire to push the boundaries of today’s music, day one’s headliners will definitely be a highlight of the weekend. Expect to hear a versatile, high-energy set, filled with dubstep, drum and bass, trap, and everything in between.

Benny Benassi, an internationally respected icon, will be gracing the decks on day two. With classics such as Satisfaction (2002) and Cinema (2011), Benassi has been pumping out huge tracks since before many of us could even groove to his beats. Benassi is a legend that I personally believe every EDM fanatic should see at least once in their lifetime.

One of my personal favourites to see live, DESTRUCTO, strives to bring his listeners the hardest techno and highest energy shows. Responsible for the creation of HARD Events, another solid festival to hit Toronto this year, DESTRUCTO has been a leader in the North American electronic music business for the past 20 years. DESTRUCTO definitely lays down a solid set that will have you on your feet the entire time.

The French DJ/producer Tchami has literally exploded onto the scene in the last year and a half. Already a fan favourite for his future house, deep house, and tech house tracks, we can expect big things from this newcomer. His style, both musically and fashionably, makes this artist stand out. Don’t plan on sitting during this set either!

Project 46, a Canadian duo composed of Waterloo’s own Ryan Henderson and Vancouver’s Thomas Shaw, will hit the decks on day one. Best known for their massive tracks Last Chance (one of my personal favourites) with Kaskade, and Collide with Laidback Luke, Project 46 has made an impact in the progressive house scene in Canada and worldwide. Landing residencies in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Waterloo’s own Beta Nightclub, we can expect to see more of this dynamic duo. Look out for their first full length album titled “Beautiful”, set to be released July 10 2015 on Ultra Music!

Ever After will definitely be a unique festival experience, unlike any other. See you there! Doors open at 11:00 am.

Nicole remembers hearing Darude’s "Sandstorm" on the radio as a child, but didn't know back then that dance music would become such an important part of her life. She loves many genres under the EDM umbrella, but it is trance that has truly captured her heart.
