This Friday, May 29th, FLOH, Cult Status & CODA present French Producers N’to and Worakls making their Canadian debut alongside local favourites Amber Long and TWONO. This event will also feature live art installations and creative special effects enhancing what is already anticipated as a night we will not soon forget here in Toronto. This event is one that I have been looking forward to since its announcement and I highly recommend you consider fitting into your weekend!

N’to’s sound is beautifully melodic and intricately woven together to entrance his audience while remaining faithful to the beat we seek. His love story with music started in his early childhood where he learned the guitar. Influenced by minimal and techno artists such as James Holden, Extrawelt and Stephan Bodzin, his style is recognizable by his use of smooth melodies surrounded by efficient minimal rhythms. His appreciation for composition and delicately placed sounds contribute to the signature he signs to each of his releases and engage his audience from start to finish. Check out Every Wall is a Door, Time and Petite to get a feel for what I’m talking about.

Worakls is primarily a composer and this background is highly apparent in his production. He’s mastered the art of minimalism while incorporating a sense of bliss and excitement into his work. Born into a musical family, he learned the piano at a very young age and explored music by studying at a conservatory. He approaches electronic music by allowing this knowledge to add a sense of melody, power and fantasy. His music draws its strength from a multitude of genres, such as classical and film and is able to progress your mood with elegance and grace. A few of my favourites are Salzburg, Far Far Away and his remixes of N’to’s Stupid and Trauma.

Amber Long has trademarked a sound that is svelte and uniquely hers. Her voice is sought after and supported by big name artists. As a DJ, she has played all over North America and broken into the international scene, playing at Ministry of Sound in London (UK), August of 2013. From an afterhours to the beach, Amber taps into her primal side and tailors her sound to the crowd, delivering a deep vibe every time. She fills each of her sets with original material and is looking forward to this Friday just as much as we are! Check out her promo mix on Soundcloud.

TWONO describes his sound as being all about inspiration – a journey into another world. His attention to detail and his passion for his craft are apparent in each of his creations. Spiritual and a well-developed artist, TWONO is sure to take us into the next dimension with his progressive style and melodic collection of sounds. I am especially partial to his tracks Fearless, Atlantis and Incompositus.

Tickets are selling for $20.00 here but are set to raise in price so be sure to grab yours now!
