Glow Guys Entertainment presented the first BASSment event in Hamilton, giving locals a chance to rinse out on the dance floor without leaving their own city for the quality beats. The Underground is part of the Club 77 complex underneath Dirty Dogs, Hamilton’s famous country bar. With 3 different sounds under one roof, music lovers were able to pay their cover at the door and still have access to the entire complex for the evening.
I entered the newly renovated space and noticed how cool in temperature it was, which was really nice considering it’s where all the hard dancing was about to take place. Chronicill and Trauma were spinning back-to-back to start off the night, with some of the heaviest trap I know. They opened with Black Sheep by CYGN, and dropped many other tracks like Voodoo Doll by Blvck x Gameface, China (Philly Blunt Remix) by Jesse Slayter, and Aerosol Can remixed by Ruen & Mister Gray. It was fitting to start the night off with some urban beats as people continued to pour into the venue. I think their set was very underrated, but it was a great debut for Chronicill and a great opportunity to see Trauma step outside the house genre. They worked really well together and I can’t wait for more.
ITEK played next with some of the heaviest dubstep I’ve heard in a while. He dropped Threat by Laxx, Burning Up (The Rebirth) by Dillon Francis, and Our Power by Obscenity & EH!DE. His entire set was energetic and crazy. It hyped up the crowd to the point where the air was noticeably warmer than when we first arrived. Several miniature mosh-pits were formed, many more bonds between BassHeads merged. ITEK uploaded his entire live set on Soundcloud with a free download, so check it out and you can relive the night through the music!
