TRACK REVIEW: Loosid & Clips x Ahoy “War” Featuring Hype Turner + FREE DL

0

War is hands down my favourite track of the month, at the very least. Loosid is an new up and coming artist, who makes a ton of free tracks that are extremely different. He’s remixed Evanescence as well as John Mayer’s cover of Free Fallin’; both tracks include morphed vocals, tech vibes, and industrial bass. Loosid is a gem in my music library, with only 11,000 followers on Soundcloud, it’s actually unbelievable how he hasn’t blown up yet.

Clips x Ahoy is a trap artist, who recently remixed Rihanna’s track BBHMM which is huge across the clubs in Toronto right now. It’s straight up twerk music.

The collaboration between these two artists is extremely unexpected but honestly so perfect. War starts off like a normal Loosid track, with lots of tweaked vocals and reverb, cute melodies floating overtop and a progressive build. Before the track drops we’re teased with some grime, and finally the vocals get chopped up, and the hard hitting wubs come in from Clips x Ahoy which contrast nicely to the tech.

Whether you want to shuffle or rinse out, this track is perfect. And it’s FREE for download! Support the underground artists so they can hopefully tour in Toronto!

Enjoy the tunes!
