EVENT PREVIEW: Prog. Monkey presents Logic Bomb (Swe) @ CLUB 120 05-09-15

This fall set your minds ready to be re-programmed by the Logic Bomb as Progressive Monkey upgrades by installing this psy-licious festivity at Club 120 in Toronto on the 5th of September, 2015 beginning at 10PM and going until 5AM.

After the massive parties Progressive Monkey has thrown in 2015; hosting 1200 Micrograms, Bizarre Contact and Egorythmia, they’ve only grown bigger and better and are ready to host more legendary psytrance producers from various corners of the world as they upgrade to a bigger venue at Club 120. This time they are all set to host the legendary Swedish duo Logic Bomb comprising of computer engineers Jonas Pettersson and Johan Krafft.

In the mid 90’s, Sweden was introduced to a new type of dance music brought back from the golden beaches of Goa, India by an adventurous group of friends. Parties were held deep in the mystic forests during summer and attracted a fresh new crowd which was enthusiastic for these innovative sounds. Among this crowd were two freshly graduated computer engineers who were struck with a profound fascination for this ‘new’ music. This enchantment led to the inception of the musical unit Logic Bomb in 1998. In the year 2000 they released their debut sensation “Headware” on Spiral Trax which introduced the Logic Bomb sound to the world. After the success of “Headware” they attracted the English label TIP World with whom they signed on for their second album “Unlimited” which was released in 2002. This album assured that Logic Bomb was not going to be left out of a foot-stomping psytrance DJ set for years to come. In 2007 they released “Sonic Algebra” with the label Solstice Music International which again led them to sign on another massive album with Tip Records. Their fourth album, “The Grid” released on Tip Records is considered by many as one of the best releases of the year 2012.

To keep the party pumping at the Club 120 will be the local hero Audi Étoffe who has been burning up dancefloors and festivals nonstop this summer. Fresh off of 3 Mixcloud Progressive Psytrance #1 mixes and another set currently leading the charts this week, Audi Étoffe is all geared up to play a refreshing blend of Rave, Acid and Progressive for the Club 120 debut of Progressive Monkey events. They will be supported by a very versatile DJ Ina Matrex, a high-energy performer known for his clean transitions and crisp pumping rhythms! Best known for his psychedelic and breakbeat influences, Ina brings his unique style of DJing blending different vibes and styles into one beautiful vibe.

This party is set to go into the early morning hours, and to keep the energy levels high throughout the night there will be DJ PsySlim who plays Goa psytrance sets filled with unique sounds from a far away galaxy. Also sharing the decks along with the legendary Logic Bomb will be Toronto’s newest Psytrance DJ sensation Magic Mushroom who has been burning the underground scene up quite a lot this year and is back once again to churn out a new list of psychedelic sounds to please the mind, the body and the soul.

This tour is so meaningful because after years of silence, things are once again cooking in the bomb-lab. Utilizing the highest quality, bleeding edge, digital technology married with the finest analog circuitry of the past, they are crafting a sound that is both classic and contemporary while staying psychedelic. Logic Bomb are set once again to blow up the scene with an album coming out in 2015 and are expected to play some of the unreleased exclusive material from the new album at Club 120.
