The iconic Finnish electronic artist Darude is soon to be returning to BETA Waterloo for another show on September 19th, 2015.
There is a heightened anticipation for the return of the legendary DJ who is probably best known for his classic track Sandstorm. The 1999 track Sandstorm has resurfaced in the last couple years being played in numerous artist sets around the world with positive crowd reaction. Its incredible for us to have Darude himself on the decks and possibly playing the track live.
Sandstorm is featured on his debut album of “Before the Storm” released in the early 2000’s, it also showcases his massive track Feel the Beat which deserves recognition as well. Feel the Beat combines a classic driving trance sound with a groovy break which really rockets the energy level up when the drop comes in the second time!
Waterloo’s premier club BETA is powered by a Dynacord audio system. It can be considered the best system that the tri-cities has to offer. September is a big month for Waterloo as it is when students start a new school year, creating an influx of weekend warriors ready to dance the night away. Since BETA’s opening in 2010 it has brought Waterloo numerous top electronic music artists such as Above & Beyond, Tiesto, Skrillex, Audien, Fehrplay and Markus Schulz.
Having witnessed Darude perform at BETA in the past its hard for me to not feel excitement for this event. I hope to you soon on the dance floor, Tri City Rave Community!
