Friday September the 4th, BASE Toronto, Euphoradio, Major League Recordings and Sapphire Records team up to bring the city Dopus Dei. They’ve compiled a stacked lineup which includes RAWD, Mikey Palermo, FRUSTRA, Video Life, Lamont Dex, Maddmon, YDID, Ulterior Motives, Wil Young and Style Of Tigers. This genre-varied and sure to excite event is being held at Toika Nightclub and with no cover, definitely worth fitting in to your Friday evening.

RAWD started producing back in 2013 after being inspired by the work of artists like Deadmau5, Avicii, Skrillex, Wolfgang Gartner, Alesso, Denzal Park and Dyro. He considers himself a pretty versatile producer, enjoying everything from chillout tunes to bassline driven electro tracks. Progressive house, however is his first love and what he produces the most of. Check out his remix to Diplo‘s, Express Yourself.

Mikey Palermo is an up and coming Producer and DJ with a focus on house music. You’ve probably heard him around the city before, lighting up the decks with his fierce style and unmistakable sound. Check out his remix to Jamie XX‘s, Stranger in a Room.

FRUSTRA brings a range of deep and future house paired with epic bass. He’s received support from favourites like Claude Vonstroke and is sure to bring a unique spin to Toika’s decks. Check out his latest remix of Boys Noize & Pilo‘s, Cerebral.

Video Life will take us into the deeper, darker sides of EDM with techno and tech-house. They’ve received support from artists including Onez!e, Mr. Drew, Garreth Lucash, Luis Leite and Mario Di Giorgio. Toika is sure to swell a little when Video Life has their turn at the tables. Check out their “Eat Your Friends” EP on Soundcloud.

Hailing from the UK and now based in Toronto, Lamont Dex brings us an exciting new spin on the re-emerging garage sound. From the aggressive, warping ragga vibes in Jungle Warrior to the melodic and ambient sounds
of Glass Heart and Control, he insists on always delivering a high quality, variety of productions. Check out his remix of Surge‘s, Deep Inside.

Maddmon will be focusing on the deeper shades of house and filling our souls with the end-of-summer sounds we’ve been craving. He brings a promising edge to the night so prepare to float into Oblivion while he’s behind the decks. Check out (and snag your free download of) his remix of Oliver Heldens and Shaun Frank‘s, Shades of Grey.

Since his introduction to audio production at the age of fourteen, YDID has been honing his techniques and crafting his unique style. His original compositions have been featured in online, television, and radio ads internationally and he will light up the night with a blend of heavy-hitting techno and electro. Check out his track Safelight for a little taste.

Ulterior Motives is a duo consisting of Alex Kellar & Tipsy Tom who will be taking Toika through the realms of house, tech and garage. They’ve got serious groove and excellently weave together the best of the genres with ease. Check out and download their mix recorded at Uniun Nightclub for a pre-party treat.

Wil Young is a DJ/Producer originally from Melbourne, Australia. Best recognized by his unmissable stage presence, Wil is just as excited about the party as every person on the dance floor and he definitely isn’t afraid to stick around for shots of Jäger and Patrón with the crowd. Check out his track, Landmine on Soundcloud.

Joe Amaral A.K.A. Style of Tigers immersed himself fully in music after high-school, studying Audio Engineering in tandem with Music Production, to forge the music he always envisioned himself producing. He’s held residencies at hotspots like Mod Club and Parts & Labour and now satisfies the scene with his original productions released on Ultra Bass Records, Future Follower Records, Sapphire Records and Major League Recordings. Check out his track, Do You Know.
