Back with its second installment, bringing diverse local talent to the decks, Modul8.2 is happening this Friday, September 4th. This event features the skills of up-and-coming local DJ/Producers Mike Philper, Vohs, Braudé and Buck Washenfold for a night of dirty beats at Bassline Music Bar.
The night will begin with the unique stylings of Mike Philper. His groovy beats and heavy bass are sure to get you moving. Check out his Heart Beats Faster Mix for a little taste of what’s in store.
Vohs’ Soundcloud claims that he would rather “focus on not completing any tracks, and [instead]make noise on [his]modular most sane people will find terribly irritating.” He has an inspired style and will shoot you down into the depths of techno. Check out his track

Braudé is “in love with mixing and creating electronic music.” For a tiny girl she brings a big sound. Recently featured on

Buck Washenfold favours more of the cerebral, trippy sounds we don’t get enough of. He will take you through the realms of consciousness while you drift and sway to the drums and atmospheric pulse. Check out his

This event is a great way to get to know some of the newer faces to the scene and will also feature cerebral visuals by the talented Brady Bothwell. There’s no cover and no drama, so come out to the friendly neighbourhood techno joint and spend your Friday night sipping on cheap beer with good company.
