It’s been 5 years since Progressive Monkey’s debut, and to celebrate they have organized an event that will knock your socks off for sure. On December 12th of 2015, Prog. Monkey will show you how it’s done with the return of the glorious duo, Protonica.
Protonica is composed of Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze from Berlin (Germany). With Piet’s intuition for harmonies as a skilled pianist and certified sound designer and Ralf’s feeling for propulsive grooves, Protonica will deliver their very own positive pulsing sound – a blend of psychedelic and progressive trance. The “Refresh/Northern Storm” EP from 2010 was certainly an important milestone as it marked the breakthrough for the duo. In 2012, Protonica released their second album, titled “Form Follows Function”, another masterpiece after their debut album “Search” from 2007.
Prog. Monkey has also delighted us with the return of a legendary local, Rikam. Alongside him will be the talented DJs Razziki and our Psy superstar Sara Dopstar.
Rikam is an electronic-music lover. He’s one of the leading psychedelic-trance DJs in Canada. Since 1994, he has become one of the most respected psychedelic-trance event organizers in North America. He founded Experience Productions in 1994, Tech Safari Productions in 2002 and the Eclipse Summer Electronic Music Festival in 2003 in the province of Quebec.
Sara surprised us last time when she closed the party for Perfect Stranger with new tracks she found on her journey through Europe. She will likely be devastating the dancefloors once again with her groovy and new found full-on sound and psychedelic basslines.
Razziki is a DJ and Producer from Newfoundland who will be providing us with some groovy psytech beats.
