Electronic supergroup Above & Beyond have been nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award in the category of “Best Dance Recording” for their single We’re All We Need, which was written with Zoë Johnston. Released originally on their 2014 album of the same name (a top 10 iTunes album in 20 countries) via Anjunabeats/Ultra Music, the song has gone on to receive over 15 million Spotify streams and almost 4.5 million views for its video on YouTube. This marks the first-ever Grammy nomination for Above & Beyond, who is the U.K.-based trio of electronic music producers, performers and songwriters Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki.
An acoustic version of We’re All We Need will appear on Above & Beyond’s next album release, “Acoustic II” this spring. “Acoustic II” is a follow-up to the iTunes dance chart-topping 2014 album “Acoustic” and will once again be produced in collaboration with producer Bob Bradley. It will feature lush new arrangements of some of the biggest hits from Above & Beyond’s Billboard Dance Chart-topping LP “We Are All We Need”, as well as some of the most popular Above & Beyond hits from years gone by, including Alchemy and No One On Earth. Fans can pre-order the “Acoustic II” CD from anjunastore.com now.
To support “Acoustic II”‘s release in May, Above & Beyond – accompanied by a 15-piece ensemble – will embark on a tour of music’s most iconic venues including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, London’s Royal Albert Hall, Toronto‘s Massey Hall and the Sydney Opera House. Already shows in New York, Chicago and San Francisco have sold out, prompting the trio to put additional dates on sale. All of the announced dates, even at six months away, are very close to being sold out, including the 17,500 capacity Hollywood Bowl. Visit AboveandBeyond.nu/acoustic for tickets and details.
