The undeniable song of the summer, UK trio Disciples’ pairing with Calvin Harris for their smash hit single How Deep Is Your Love has dominated the radio waves since its inception earlier this year. With a staggering 234 million streams on Spotify and 281 million plays on YouTube, How Deep Is Your Love has broken into the top-ten in over 74 countries, with over 2 million copies sold and certified gold & platinum status in over 15 territories.
For the first time this past Friday, Disciples made their national television debut in the United States, performing alongside Calvin Harris and Norwegian vocalist Ina Wroldsen on the famed stage of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Not only is it the first time the song has even been performed live, the performance marks the unveiling of their brand new live setup, featuring Wroldsen and Luke McDermott on vocals, Gavin Koolmon on drums, and Nathan Duvall joining Harris on keys.
Consisting of Duvall, Luke and Gavin, the exciting trio Disciples have been ones to watch for the past year. They first arrived onto the radar with their underground staple They Don’t Know, which was labeled as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune and charted on the UK Singles list. Following the success of How Deep Is Your Love, the trio returned to their underground roots with the release of “The Following” EP on FFRR, which earned praise for its dark and rave-influenced sound, hailed by BBC Radio 1 heavyweights Annie Mac, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard. To celebrate the release, the trio embarked on their debut US tour this fall, stopping in venues such as New York’s famed Output as well as celebrating Halloween alongside Harris at his Omnia residency. Writing, producing and singing on all of their own tracks, Disciples bring a unique brand of authenticity to their performances, bringing their individual strengths together to create something bigger than the sum of its parts.
